I think the reason I love chipped beef is it doesn't have to be chipped beef! It will still taste great if it is chipped turkey, or pork. For example I used turkey slices, turkey bacon and some left over pork rib meat for the picture above. Below is the basic version of this recipe but keep in mind you can make it with whatever you favorite ingredients are!

Ingredients:
3 strips of bacon (sliced)
1 small package of beef sandwich slices
1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp crack pepper (or to taste)
1/4 tsp essence
1 cup water
1 cup milk

In a medium skillet over medium heat cook bacon and beef till just crisping. Add seasonings to flour and then whisk in 1/4 cup of flour, cooking for 1-2 minutes.

Very slowly add milk and water as you whisk constantly till smooth. Stir occasionally as you bring to a boil.

At this point you are looking for the thickness you like. If you make it a little too thick add a little milk, if it is too runny for you let it boil down a little more.

Serve over biscuits!
