Have you ever just wanted Pork and Beans for dinner? No! Not those Pork and Beans you get out of a can, I mean old fashion deep south Pork and Beans? I do. I try not to make them to often because they are not the healthiest meal. Then again compaired to what most people eat, they are not that bad. My father always makes these with ham hocks and so did my friend Nell until she made them with a smoked Turkey leg. She decided to try something different and it was really great! So I decided to try something a little different going with smoked pork neck bones and linguica in my beans. I am glad that I because it added a whole layer of flavor and aroma that really made these beans a hit on Easter. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 15 oz can black beans (reduced sodium)
1 15 oz can white beans
1 14.5 oz can green beans
7 oz smoked spicy hot linguica (sliced and halved)
1.25-1.5 lbs smoked pork neck bones
1 15 oz can water
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp cayenne
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
fresh crack pepper (to
taste)

(Do not drain cans of beans.) Add all items to a large sauce pan, mix well and turn heat to medium high bring to boil (10 minutes.) Once boiling turn heat down to medium low and continue to cook for 20-25 minutes stirring often. Turn heat to lowest setting, cover with a small gap and cook for another 25-30 minutes. Remove pork necks and cut as much meat as possible off of them, add the meat back to the pot and stir before serving warm!
