Fire up the grill and enjoy the taste of our Sweet and Salty Hangar steak today!  I really wanted to make a hangar steak that relied heavily on its own flavor but had a hint of something special.  So I decided to go with the ever popular sweet and salty, instead of my favorite sweet and spicy!  The hint on ginger and honey really melded well with the salty thick livery flavor of the hangar steak and I found myself wanting to just wolf down the whole thing in one bite!  Kudos to Zo for taking such a colorful photo! Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 hangar steak
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp honey
1 clove garlic (minced)
1/8 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
2-3 dribbles of mesquite flavored liquid smoke

In a small bowl mix together all ingredients except steak. Place steak in a seal-able container and marinate at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.

Pre-heat grill to medium high heat.

Place steak on the middle rack and grill for 2-3 minutes.  Flip steak and grill for another 3-4 minutes.  Remove from grill and let sit for 3-4 minutes before serving hot.  Enjoy!
