Cole slaw is one of my favorite chilled summer salads! It is also one of the only ways my parents could get me to eat cabbage. *I forgot to mention my Grandmother gave me the basis for this recipe about 10 years ago when I called her up and asked her how she made hers.*

Ingredients:
1 head cabbage (shredded)
(I really like to use a half a head purple cabbage and a half head regular for color)
2 larger carrots (shredded)
1/4 cup Sweet Vidalia onion (diced)
3/4 cup Mayonnaise
2 tbsp sour cream
2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp brown spicy mustard (or creole mustard)
1 tsp brown sugar
2 pinches kosher salt
1 pinch celery salt
fresh crack pepper to taste

In a large mixing bowl mix together cabbage and carrots. In a small bowl whisk together mayo, sour cream, onion, vinegar, salts, mustard and sugar. Pour mayo mixture over carrots and cabbage and mix well. Serve right away or chill for 30 minutes to an hour. Before serving crack pepper to taste!

Additional uses for this recipe:
1. Serve over hot links, spicy Italian sausages or any other spicy sausage that you use to make hot dogs. Trust me it is a family tradition and is really good!
